Today we talk with Yuahula Alay Kalapalo , from the Xingu region of Brasil. Yuahula is a storyteller, filmmaker and a brigadista, a volunteer firefighter, who is fighting to save the amazon from burning.
We talk about what he sees in the front lines of the Amazon burning fires, and how he creates musics and films to bring awareness to the problems the fires are causing to his villages health and also to the animals and plants. Yuahula also shares his dream of creating a volunteer of firefighters near his home to better respond to the fires.
